A year of selfies, couples, cats, and beer.
I thought that I wouldn’t have a lot to show for this year and I debated not making a year in review post, but I actually do have a few things! I have neglected to take my camera out when I was itching to this year on many occasions, and I have also gotten lazy about buying film and using those cameras more. They are smaller and easier to take out with me and less invasive for my friends to have stuck in their faces as we are hanging out. Also, it’s more fun! It’s like when you buy something from somewhere on the internet that takes forever to ship to you (ahem, Modcloth) and when you finally get the package you kind of almost forgot what you ordered in the first place so it’s a surprise. Heh, anyways… these photos are a mix of DSLR and cellphone, work and play (mostly play).
Snow drifts and clear skies is magic.
My lovely friends being my guinea pigs on a shoot I really wanted to do in DUMBO.

The totally adorbs Sophie & Brian.
I know that we are all about to take a group shot, but first, push ups.
Selfie game getting too strong. Is it still a selfie if Michael took these? Probably not. Oh well, I’m going to make Michael quit being a teacher and we can be an awesome wife/husband photo team of my dreams.
That day I did my hair in a different way than down and all over the place.
Sassy signage in Carroll Gardens // Meeting new turtle friends
Spoiler: if you ask me to cat sit I will take photos of your cats and blog about it.
The one time I had a roll of film on me. This roll was actually in my camera for like a year, so yeah, there were photos of my cats on it. Rooster has CH (Tweak does too but it’s not as severe as him) and this is the best I have gotten so far at documenting his struggle with walking. Whenever I get down on his level he always walks towards me immediately because he thinks it’s time to sit on my lap. It’s hard to communicate it through photographs (in my tiny apartment with bad lighting) the severity of his condition and how he gets around/lives his life, but it’s a goal that I want to accomplish next year. (Woah Kate, take more photos of your cats, how suprising.)
Too much Rooster and not enough Tweak!
Beers on the streets at Atlantic Antic // Afternoon delight light before service at Hometown BBQ
Magic hour // Still trying to nail the latte art thing.
Our baby Christmas tree that fits so nicely in our apartment! // Nothing much to say about this, I just like it
Next year, more film, more opportunity taking, less being afraid. My motto for the new year: when in doubt, whip it out. Your camera. Not your… just your camera. When I think of a new phrase I’ll let you know.
